It’s never been a secret that there is more to life than meets the eye.  Humans have built everything from daily habits to whole empires around non-physical concepts like deity, magic, and religion.  Of course, we have also famously gone overboard in our attempts to define life as completely physical, devoid of any particular philosophical meaning.  Most of our major religions contrast the spiritual as ideal to the physical as corrupt and inferior.

Certainly, there is a long tradition of esoteric studies which depart from this mainstream religious dogma and modern psychology.  In the late 20th century there was a blossoming of new spiritual thought, radical at first to most ears, but now subtly pervasive throughout our culture.  A list of notable sources would include Edgar Cayce, Norman Vincent Peale, Florence Scovill Shinn, and later, Jane Roberts, Wayne Dyer, Sanaya Roman, Deepak Chopra, and many more.  In its exploration of creative consciousness, (Osireion will draw heavily from the work of
Jane Roberts.)

What do we mean by creative consciousness?  A list of contrasts may be useful here:
Old Paradigm

We have a spirit trapped in flesh.

We must accept our circumstances even when they are onerous.

We are victims.

Evil is real.

We are by nature sinful.

We look to God for what we need

There is physical, and there is non-physical.
New Paradigm

We are spirit, and flesh is one manifestation of our infinite potential.

We can accept our own part in creating life circumstances for specific purposes.

We are gods.

Evil, like everything else in our lives, is something we create.

We are by nature creative, joyful, loving.

We recognize that God is not separate from us, and that we can draw on oneness to fill all of our needs.

There is spirit, and  all other manifestations of spirit.
The path of creative consciousness may give us the bite from the forbidden fruit that we long for, because once we taste it, our eyes are opened and we truly see.  Those of us who have followed this path have left behind our feelings of inadequacy, confusion, and failure; finding the truth about ourselves gives us the confidence to live life fully, with power and active love.

At Osireion we will explore and discover over time the excitement of becoming aware of our true nature, learning to access our other “inner” senses, and using them to literally create our lives.  We will take a peek from time to time at how the latest quantum mechanics begins to overlap what we have learned from esoteric sources.  And we will practice methods for honing our inner senses, and for the compassionate, responsible use of special abilities, e.g., for healing, problem-solving, and better communication with others.
